PTA

Parent Teacher Association

The PTA is a group of parents and teachers who work together to raise funds in order to provide additional support and enhance the children’s educational experience whilst at Highcliffe.  We rely totally on voluntary support to help organise and lend a helping hand at the events we organise. These events are not just for the children and parents of the school, but the wider community too, which helps to raise extra funds to be spent directly on our children.

Generally, funds are spent on ‘extras’ that are not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. These include making contributions towards visiting authors or theatre companies, outdoor play structures and climbing frames, exciting day trips out like the Year 6 trip to MegaZone and being able to bring in fun activities like the Utterly Butterly Ukulele project and the Dancing Chinese Dragon.

We do not fund what would be considered premises issues like repairs to buildings.

Highcliffe PTA is very fortunate to be supported by all the wonderful staff at Highcliffe and the Trust as a whole, who are always prepared to lend us a hand and get involved with everything we organise.

We’re always looking for helpers at the many events we organise – events don’t happen without help!  More importantly, we’re always looking for new ideas for things to do and how to spend the funds.

We hold informal monthly meetings at the school which last for an hour and a half and any Highcliffe parent is welcome to come along.
