The Eco Committee is made up of 10 children, one from each class from Year 2 upwards. Each representative is elected by their peers through a formal voting system.
The Eco Committee meet with Mrs Wilby at least once every half term. The pupils share responsibility for running meetings and keeping a record of the meetings. Pupil representatives ensure that there is communication to and from the Eco-Committee.
The role of the Eco-committee is to ensure that the whole school is aware of the Eco-Schools programme; take the lead in carrying out the Environmental Review; ensure that everyone in the school community is represented in the decision-making process; and develop an Eco-Schools Action Plan.
