Year 6 Embarks on Thrilling Residential Trip to Pioneer Centre in Shropshire

On Monday, November 13th, our Year 6 cohort embarked on an unforgettable five-day residential trip to the Pioneer Centre in Shropshire.

During the daytime, the pupils participated in a wide range of fun activities that tested their courage, resilience and team working skills. This included abseiling, archery, zip line, high ropes, climbing and the beautiful forest walk.

Evenings at the Pioneer Centre were equally engaging, with the children participating in a variety of exciting activities. The atmosphere came alive with laughter and music during the disco, and the night-wide games added a sense of friendly competition to the experience. The highlight was undoubtedly the campfire!

Throughout the week, the Year 6 pupils not only conquered physical challenges but also embraced personal growth. The residential trip provided a unique opportunity for the students to gain independence, challenge themselves, and form lasting friendships. New bonds were forged, and existing friendships strengthened as the children worked together to overcome obstacles and achieve new goals.

We are immensely proud of all the children for their remarkable achievements and exemplary behavior during the residential trip. The students set a shining example for the entire Highcliffe Primary community.
